Welcome to Michael's Bamboo Rod Co.
I am dedicated to producing quality bamboo fly fishing rods and bamboo spinning rods.
Fly fishing has been a wonderful recreation for me since my early twenties and one of the ultimate tools for any fly fisherman has been the classic bamboo fly rod.
My interest in bamboo fly rods has lead me to building my own. I have gotten great satification out making these beautiful rods. Hand planing them from tonkin cane, choosing the type of guides, handle styles, reel seats and color of silk wraps all to produce a aesthetic pleasing and functional fishing rod.
